Continuous Quality Improvement in Early Childhood and School Age Programs: An Update from the Field

As a result of Creating a National Learning Community on Continuous Quality Improvement, a pre-conference session at the 2016 QRIS National Meeting, the BUILD Initiative convened leaders from nineteen states and the District of Columbia working in Early Childhood Education and Out-of-School Time to launch the Continuous Quality Improvement Community of Practice (CQI CoP). The goal of this effort—scaffolding CQI knowledge—was achieved by sharing promising practices, asking deep questions, and leveraging the good work of the group. This paper, authored by consultant Billie Young, details the discussions, debates, learning, and findings of this CoP.
