CLASS in Statewide Systems: Supporting Regional and Local Capacity-Building for Program Improvement
The Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) is a highly researched measure for observing the elements of teaching that matter most for children—the daily interactions they have with teachers and caregivers. During this session of Let’s Talk, you’ll receive an overview of the use of the CLASS in statewide systems for program quality improvement. You’ll also hear from two states implementing a regional approach to continuous quality improvement with statewide implementation of the CLASS through regionalized support to the early childhood education workforce, with a focus on scaling to build ongoing support and development of leaders, coaches, and teachers.
