Focusing on the "S" in QRIS: How California Is Using QRIS to Dive Deep into Early Childhood Systems Development
California's approach to QRIS is statewide and locally administered. Having expanded from sixteen counties since RTT-ELC to now including all fifty-eight, local consortia are required to develop interconnected local and regional systems to support early learning site quality improvement. In this session of Let’s Talk, panelists explore how using QRIS as a systems frame and intentionally focusing on each of the system components has supported cross-sector infrastructure development and QRIS implementation across California. With the ultimate goal of sustaining strong systems through a deep focus on systems components, topics include building partnerships and shared governance, fiscal strategies, and effective communication.
