Breaking Through to Changed Jobs, Changed Organizations and a New System Vision: Using Unexpected Strategies to Re-Imagine Your QRIS Work
In many states implementing a QRIS framework has become a game changer in the ECE structure. It is important to get everyone on board with clear expectations, as well as a consistent vision and message. Suddenly, early care and education state subsidy and licensing staff, resource and referral organizations, sometimes even PreK and Head Start staff, find themselves learning new definitions and pathways to quality. When Oregon was faced with this challenge, they sought the help of an unexpected partner, Mass Ingenuity, who were experienced at helping organizations through such difficult and disruptive change. Oregon guided their employees, contractors and partners through a process of re-defining their jobs and their work to align with the QRIS, creating a more transparent and accountable system with greater buy in.
