Miami-Dade’s QRIS incorporated three services into the Program and Professional Development Supports system - communities of practice, school readiness enhancements, and short-term mental health intervention. Implementation of these services will be shared, including how the new services intersect with the larger early childhood system in the county to support children, parents, teachers and directors. The presentation includes ‘The Jonathan Project’ - a locally developed pilot with a race and equity focus to combat preschool expulsion on the local, state and national level. Lessons learned and results from the first year, including child outcomes for mental health supports, will be discussed.
