Child Care Subsidy Literature Review

What does recent research say about child care subsidies? To answer that question for state administrators, program developers, and policymakers looking for a base of knowledge on subsidy policies, this literature review contains:

•             Descriptive information about subsidy use;

•             A review of the association between receiving a subsidy and parents' choice of high quality care or continuity of care with subsidized arrangements; and

•             A discussion of the association between receiving a subsidy and certain family and child outcomes.

Produced by Child Trends, the review is a part of the Child Care and Early Education Policy and Research Analysis (CCEEPRA) project.
