Improved family child care quality is a target of federal and state policy initiatives. With so many children in family child care homes, it is particularly important to examine and articulate the characteristics of high-quality caregiving and support services for family child care providers. This session will invite participants to consider new ways of thinking about quality caregiving and support in family child care homes and implications for state and local programs, policies, and practices.
