The QRIS Resource Guide is intended as a tool for States and communities to explore key issues and decision points during the planning and implementation of a quality rating and improvement system (QRIS). States are involved in various activities to improve the availability and quality of early and school-age care and education programs.
This brief provides a sample of resources with research about the impact of QRIS on early and school-age care. Also included is a brief description of the States’ QRIS. The sample includes summaries of evaluation research conducted in Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.
